ATREVIA leads the model of socially responsible businesses on International Women´s Day. This is one of the conclusions that the newspaper La Razón have arrived to in the article When female directors are in majority where they asked which are the companies in our country that holds the greatest presence of females in boards of directors or management. In this sense, the leadership of ATREVIA is undisputable. They have always opted for the presence of women in all the positions in the management chain and the daily national newspaper put ATREVIA as an example in the article.
Asun Soriano, CEO at ATREVIA, stated in the national newspaper: “we are now studying the possibility of having more men in the management committee. Diversity is good… But from all angles”. Likewise, she is also the patron for the Masfamilia Foundation which is responsible for granting companies the stamp of responsible family businesses. She stated that “in our case, it wasn’t anything we planned, it was natural. It was more a question of having an unbiased environment”. So much so that from ATREVIA they promote initiatives that claim the presence of women in governing bodies and boards of directors of companies, they stimulate reconciliation measures, labor flexibility and it is advocated by the presence of both genders in companies.
This acknowledgment has a special relevance today because it is the 8th of March, International Women´s Day and many companies still don’t incorporate feminine leadership in their teams. Specifically, according to the latest report Women in the Board of Directors in Ibex-35 companies, presented recently by ATREVIA and IESE Business School that showed that the percentage of women on the board of directors in the Ibex-35 has reached 19.83%, a figure that is still below the European average of 21.2%.
