The relationship between Spain and Paraguay is a real opportunity for Iberian-American and Spanish business people for growth and investment. The positive evolution of Paraguay in recent years and the shift in Spain presents a favorable scenario for the collaboration between both economies. It is about a “win-win” situation which is committed to economic development from a bidirectional perspective.
Therefore, with the motive of an official visit to Spain from the president of the Republic of Paraguay, His Excellency. Mr. D. Horacio Cartes, the Business Council of Latin America (CEAL Ibérico) and Casa de América organized an honorary dinner. Iberian-American business people and institutional representatives from Spain and Latin America attended the event such as Ana Pastor, Minister of Development, Jesús Gracia Aldaz, secretary of State and Latin America for International Cooperation, Antonio Rivas, ambassador for the Republic of Paraguay in Spain, Enrique V. Iglesias, first Iberian-American general secretary and honorary president of the CEAL Ibérico, Núria Vilanova, president of the CEAL Ibérico, and Esther Alcocer Koplowitz, vice-president of the CEAL Ibérico, etc.
During his speech the president of the Republic of Paraguay, His Excellency Mr. D. Horacio Cartes, assured that “Paraguay is the only country in the whole region which had the same currency 73 years ago. Macro-economically speaking, we are quite stable. We have the lowest level of debt in the whole region”. The president has taken advantage of encouraging investment “they know that we love them. They feel how much we love them and they know how grateful we are to them. Long live Spain and Paraguay”.
For her part, the president of the CEAL Ibérico, Núria Vilanova, assured that “it is a fantastic opportunity to meet a great country that is making a great effort to open international investment”. Additionally, the person responsible for the organization in Iberia added that “from here we will work so that Spanish business people collaborate in growth opportunities fir Paraguay and of course open to helping whoever wants to be committed to our country which is a fantastic platform for internationalization and a door to enter into Europe, Africa and Asia”.
