Núria Vilanova, president and founder of ATREVIA, participated in the Womenalia Inspiration Day 2015 in the round table discussion “Questions to the President”, together with Arsenio Otero Pérez, VP of Business Operations at Salesforce EMEA and Enrique Tellado Nogueira, CEO of Evo Banco.
During the table moderated by María G. del Pozuelo, CEO of Womenalia, the speakers responded to questions from the public who showed interested in knowing how to manage and live while having the maximum responsibility of a project.
“If we are hiring talent, it is so thatwe become dedicated in thinking about how we can be better” stated Enrique Tellado Nogueira, after presenting a brief economic analysis of the current situation and he also added “the difficulty of predicting moves and we also move”.
Núria Vilanova spoke on the importance of team management and domestic communication: “people are increasingly committed to ethics and all the time employees think about if what we are saying is true”, she emphasized when explaining that the role of the leader is essential.
In addition, she added that “having an engaging team and converting employees into heroes who are willing to give everything to the brand is very important to engage and retain talent, with especially the new generation of Millennials in which companies confront nowadays”.
At the same time she highlighted that one of the challenges for companies is that their managers are already in social media that the consumer is rebellious and believes more in people than in big companies: “it is key to have dialogue with the consumer, companies have the challenge of being empathic”.
At the end of her speech she encouraged the women who attended not to settle: “never accept being an exception, we are looking for more women to be on our side because the exception doesn’t break the rule”, and she added, “dedicate five minutes every day to help another woman”.
Arsenio Otero, equally encouraged the attendants to be more authentic: “be yourselves, speak up and don´t copy the behavior of men”.
The event which was organized by Womenalia celebrated its 4th edition and it was held in the Circo Price theatre for professional men and women with a common interest: the presence of women in the working world. It was an event by and for women that carried the conversation to social media channels with the hashtag #WomenaliaDay
