ATREVIA, a global Communication, and Strategic Positioning company, has incorporated David Cierco, an economist with a significant professional trajectory in innovation, as executive director at the head of the 2030 Digital Alliance Foundation. The objective is to position the Foundation as a leading change agent which positively contributes to a more sustainable and digitally inclusive society during times of transformation.
David Cierco Jiménez de Parga has more than 20 years of experience in innovation. He has carried out activities mainly linked to new technologies and the development of the digital society. In the public sector, he has held the position of General Director of Red.es (2018-2021), General Director for the Development of the Information Society (2006-2010), and advisor in the Technological Area of the Ministry of Industry (2004-2006). He has worked in different technology companies in London and Madrid as an expert consultant in digitalization in the private sector. He has also managed a Digital Transformation consulting company and has served as CEO of a startup for payment methods.
He holds a degree in Economics and Business, a master’s degree in Finance from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE), another in Macroeconometrics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and a third in Digital Business from the Instituto Superior de Internet (ISDI). In 2012 he was distinguished with the Plaque of the Civil Order of Merit for Telecommunications and Information Society, and in 2019 he was awarded the Cross of Military Merit.
The Digital Alliance 2030 Foundation was born in the context of an intense digital revolution to improve the understanding of the many changes taking place from the digital perspective and their implications in the economic, business, and social spheres. It also aims to open spaces for citizen participation and generate ideas and proposals collaboratively, which contribute value in fulfilling its social purpose.
The organization will dedicate all its effort and resources to achieving a digitalization aligned with the principles that make up the Digital Europe Program implemented by the European Commission. These principles seek to achieve a digital society at the service of people: fair and competitive, open, democratic, and sustainable, which also responds to the demands of the SDGs.
