ATREVIA and CBI Consulting have jointly held a breakfast on Information Systems, CSRs, and Communication to help companies prepare their non-financial information and make the most of it. The meeting was held at the offices of ATREVIA, under the tutelage of Rocío Pérez de Sevilla, Reputation Director, Corporate Positioning and CSR of ATREVIA, María Madrigal, Designs Director and Corporate Publications of ATREVIA, Emilio Vera Martin, Sustainability Consultant CBI and Sergio Brihuega, CEO of CBI Consulting and expert in Information Management Systems Development
In a changing and ever-faster world, transparency has become a requirement for companies not only at the legal level, but also as a social legitimizer, where Pérez De Sevilla highlighted that, “We are in the post-truth era. What you’re labeled, it’s very hard to remove. That’s why exemplary behavior, accompanied by sustainability, is something that starts to be on the agenda of all CEOs”, she concluded with, “ATREVIA has created a model to help companies have better communication and reputation: internal engagement and management, two key elements to achieve this goal”.
Moreover, Sergio Brihuega has highlighted in his speech the importance of reporting in companies, “The GRI -Global Reporting Initiative- brought a standard of reporting for all companies. It seeks homogeneous information from companies in different sectors. There have been three blocks in the company report where there has been a gigantic change: depth, equality and management”
Finally, María Madrigal has pointed out that, “Companies that communicate what they do and how they do it, strengthen their brand value. Financial and non-financial information must go hand in hand”, she also gave a tip to companies, “It is best for companies to troubleshoot when they are not obliged, because they have no pressure.” In short, we need to ensure the quality of all the information we reported, since all information is relevant, and it communicates something.
A really enriching breakfast, in which we have had the assistance and opinions of CEO’s, team directors and communication professionals from different companies such as Correos y Telegrafos, ONCE Foundation and Aldeas Infantiles, among others.
