ATREVIA participates in another year of the Top 100 Female Leaders gala in Spain which is in line with its commitment to promote female leadership. It is a ranking that is published annually by Mujeres & cía whose objective is to achieve greater female presence in various areas like culture, sport, politics, public administration, research, tertiary sector and the business world. In this sense, ATREVIA participated as a sponsor of the event in its firm commitment for diversity, equal opportunities and female empowerment.
Additionally, Asun Soriano, CEO of ATREVIA, participated as a “challenger” in the initiative engageMEN. This seeks to engage senior managers of Spanish companies to collaborate for the promotion of female leadership in society. In this way, Asun Soriano “challenged” Ignacio Mariscal, Managing Director of Reale Seguros, to stand up and get involved in accelerating the change. Additionally, the Board is promoted by relevant men and women in various environments and they selected a “committee of ambassadors” who were involved to help increase the number of women in decision-making positions. This will help to continually promote actions to draw attention to female talent and make room for them in the senior management of companies. «EngageMEN gives a voice to men who believe that diversity is the key for productivity and profitability of companies», explained Mercedes Wullick, founder of the platform Top 100 Female Leaders.
In the 5th edition of the Top 100 Female Leaders in Spain, Asun Soriano was nominated in the category Senior Management. This initiative is an essential tool to value female talent and visualize their participation in Spanish public life. Some names that were highlighted this year in the Top Female Leaders were Sara Baras, Julia Otero, Mercedes Unzeta, Cristina Cifuentes, María José Soriano, Ada Colau and Sofía Benjumea, who were elected out of the 10 categories presented, as well as Irene Villa and Ana Botín who were among the new honorary Top 100 Female Leaders.
