About to close a productive year, the ATREVIA Foundation presents its annual report and faces a 2020 full of new projects.
Throughout 2019, we wanted to underline our confidence in communication as a transformative tool. We believe that society evolves through dialogue, relationships, the exchange of knowledge, the search for consensus, the balance of interests and common ground. That’s why we have continued to work to strengthen the role of communication and leadership as tools for change, transformation, empowerment and the development of society.
Our activity revolves around five broad lines of action on which there is a will and, above all, enthusiasm to continue working:
1.- We believe in conversation
We want to be the connecting point to identify and respond to the needs and main challenges of society. For this reason, we lead forums and organize meetings with journalists, opinion leaders, companies, institutions and organizations of the third sector as a tool for sharing perspectives, continuous improvement and identification of new trends. To this end, we promote platforms such as Mirada Plural, the Forum of Good Governance and Shareholders or the Observatory of Internal Communication and Corporate Identity, and organize talks and events of different kinds with executives of the most important companies, relevant personalities related to current issues and senior leaders and representatives of the business world, administration and the media.
2.- We generate knowledge
Fundación ATREVIA leads lines of research in areas of reference among which are young people and generation Z, the family business, among others. We produce studies on current affairs, communication, leadership and corporate social responsibility with the aim of generating knowledge relevant to our audiences.
Examples of these works are: the study of ‘Women in the Boards of Listed Companies’, the report on ‘Best Internal Communication Practices’ or the monthly LATAM Keys.
3.- We educate in communication and leadership
We train leaders of third sector institutions and organizations in communication and leadership skills so that they are able to convey clear messages and give visibility to the activity they perform. Also to groups of young people and population at risk of exclusion to activate their employability and entrepreneurship and help them face business challenges, enhance their personal image, improve communication skills for interviews and jobs or improve professional, digital and social media skills.
In addition, we make all our resources available to associations such as Netmentora, made up of entrepreneurs and managers who advocate the creation of new local jobs and assume a mentoring process that, in a personalized and totally free way, consists in accompanying on their way entrepreneurs with the potential of job creation, after selecting their proposals.
4.- We carry out communication and awareness campaigns
Our goal is to connect with audiences of interest, raise awareness of common challenges, and share and give visibility to the positive impacts achieved by these organizations. With this intention: we promote the provision of pro bono services to organizations, institutions and NGOs to develop and implement communication and positioning strategies and campaigns. We work with organizations to create communication strategies; we assist and advise in the execution of communication activities and PR. Trough the organization of events and presentations, media relations, creative services, design and production of publications and information materials, design and programming of websites and strategies of RRSS. Finally, we also provide our services for the conceptualization and launch of large awareness campaigns on social issues relevant to the people.
5.- We develop cooperation and social action projects both in Spain and in developing countries
We encourage collaboration with local and international reference organizations that share our values, projects and initiatives. We direct our efforts to contribute to the development and improvement of the living conditions of the societies and territories where we operate from leadership and participation in impact projects.
We also mobilize people linked to ATREVIA to promote local and community development through their actions.
Since 2017, we are also part of the Spanish Emergency Committee, a pioneering initiative in Spain that was born from the union of 6 NGOs and whose purpose is to centralize and accelerate the raising of funds in the face of very serious humanitarian disasters.
Finally, in line with the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), from the ATREVIA Foundation we work to promote private sector participation as a key player in overcoming poverty.
