The team at ATREVIA Ecuador has joined the flow of aid and solidarity with the Ecuadorian people who were severely hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8. Last Saturday devastated a large part of the country and has so far killed almost 300 people and more than 2,500 injured.
Elena Fernández Cabrera, director at ATREVIA Ecuador ordered humanitarian action which involved collecting and sending an eight tone truck with food and medicine to the people affected in Calceta, Manabí.
This town has been severely damaged by the earthquake and it is in urgent need of basic necessities like drinkable water, clothes, medicine and mosquito repellent. Many houses have fallen down and the supply of basic services like energy and hydraulic supplies have been partially collapsed.
The solidarity initiative of ATREVIA in Ecuador began on Monday the 18th of April. Throughout the day, the team and volunteers from the consultant company were at the Manabí Residents Association in Quito, Sociemarq, located on avenida 6 de Diciembre y Granados.
