The third edition of the Good Governance and Shareholding Forum Awards recognized La Pampilla Refinery, a company from the Repsol Group Peru, as “Best Initiative Approach to Shareholders of Companies listed in Latin America”.
The award honors its model of shareholder attention, based in the line of success by Repsol and developed from a multichannel platform of communication and feedback. Its aim is to allow the minority to know and experience “the reality of society in the first person”, taking into account two main pillars: accessibility and the quality of information.
La Pampilla developed in Peru different types of actions (unidirectional, bidirectional and face-to-face) in addition to tools to communicate with minority shareholders, like the web, post, email, phone calls, one-to-one meetings and events like the Investor Day, one of the initiatives that enjoys greater acceptance between small investors.
This award is added to the one that Iberdrola received in the category “Best Initiative Approach to Shareholders of Companies listed in Spain” for its model of shareholder involvement.
The Good Governance and Shareholding Forum is a joint initiative with IRCO, research centre in the IESE Business School and the communications consultant ATREVIA. It is a space of debate that generates and divulges knowledge in the financial area. Its main objective is to analyze the specific problem of communication between the small shareholders and the listed companies.
The jury of the Good Governance and Shareholding Forum is composed of members of the Advisory Board: Ángel Boixadós, ex president of the Association of Financial Journalists (APIE); Belén Romana, ex general manager at Tesoro; Claudio Boada, president in the Honor Circle of Business people; Eduardo Montes, president in the Advisory Club; Mónica de Oriol, ex president of the Circle of Business people; Emilio Zurutuza, president in the Advisory Club; Salvador Montejo, president of Emisores Españoles; Juan Prieto, vice-president of Emisores Españoles; Enrique Morera, lecturer at the IESE Business School; Soledad Núñez, Ex General Manager at Tesoro; José Ramón Pin, Manager of IRCO and lecturer in the area of people at the IESE Business School; and Núria Vilanova, president and founder at ATREVIA.
