On March 15, Guatemala joined for the first time the celebration of World Speech Day in an event that took place at the University of the Valley of Guatemala and in which the new director of ATREVIA Central America, Elisa Stahl-Biener, participated. The event that claims the importance of communication to change the world, also served to delve into issues related to the joint construction of a better country through the collaboration of all as members of society.
During her speech as a guest speaker and under the slogan How to survive a crisis in the current context, Elisa Stahl-Biener spoke about being aware of the national situation and the need to understand and address the different environments and contexts that can surround a reality in crisis. “The result we obtain in the face of any challenge translates into opportunity, resilience and growth,” he said.
For the first time, Guatemala and ATREVIA Central America joined the celebration of World Speech Day, thanks to the initiative of Allan David Ortiz, co-founder of the citizen group Guate Activa in an effort to enact the power of the word as an engine of change.
