ATREVIA, a global communications and corporate affairs company, announces that it has integrated Microbio Gentleman, one of the most promising creative agencies in Spain. This strategic operation is part of the inorganic growth plan that the company led by Nuria Vilanova is working on.

ATREVIA will have a 70% stake in Microbio Gentleman. “We want to strengthen the growth strategy in the advertising market and promote creativity as one of the drivers of development in all our disciplines and business areas, hand in hand with strategy and technology,” says Núria Vilanova.

Microbio Gentleman was founded 12 years ago by three partners, Fernando Volpini, Ferran Llopart and Marc Hilari, who will continue to have a stake and run the company independently. In 2022, the agency achieved a turnover of €5 million.

It allows us to evolve, grow in value and, above all, without sacrificing the proximity, creativity and focus on results that characterize us,” said Fernando Volpini, founder and CEO of Microbio Gentleman.

Microbio Gentleman develops strategic approaches and creative ideas for Off, On and Trade media, with the aim of achieving effective actions that give tangible and measurable results. Microbio Gentleman’s clients include brands such as Uriach, PortAventura World, Laboratorios Stada, Danone, Munich, Jean Leon, Grupo Planeta and Marea, among others.

Strengthening the Pharma area

The great penetration of Microbio Gentleman in the field of health reinforces ATREVIA’s practice in the Pharma sector, one of its growth engines for more than 30 years. “This allows us to anticipate and meet the needs and expectations of our customers in an essential, highly specialized and regulated sector. In this area we have an interdisciplinary team in Europe and LATAM, made up of more than 60 professionals with a high degree of specialization, led by two professionals with recognized experience in this field: Cristina Rodiera Global Head of this practice, with the support of Fátima Marina. We offer a fully integrated service that includes Public Affairs, Reputation and Crisis Management, Relationship with the Medical and Scientific Community, Patient Advocacy, Sustainability, Corporate and Brand Communication, Creativity and Digital Strategies,” says Núria Vilanova.

ATREVIA continues with its inorganic growth strategy

The integration of Microbio Gentleman is in addition to two other operations closed by ATREVIA in 2022. The company acquired the production unit of LUIKE. This operation included the headers of Autofácil and FórmulaMoto, to create a new company, Mobilitas, specialized in demand activation and precision marketing. A short time later, ATREVIA announced the purchase of Apple Tree’s digital business in Colombia, in order to continue its commitment to offering increasingly integrated solutions to customers in the area of strategic consulting and with an impact, especially in the entire LATAM area.

ATREVIA, which is present in 15 countries and territories, closed the 2022 financial year with a growth in sales of 28.9% compared to the previous year and with significant advances in turnover in all the geographical areas where its activity is established. By 2023, the company expects to consolidate this growth.
