Nuria Vilanova, awarded at the Ibero-American ASICOM-University of Oviedo 2019 awards

Núria Vilanova, president of ATREVIA and the Business Council Alliance for Ibero-America (CEAPI), has been awarded at the X edition of the Ibero-American  Awards ASICOM-University of Oviedo, whose ceremony was held yesterday in the Asturian capital.

Núria Vilanova is founder and president of ATREVIA, the largest communication agency in Spain, which has a team of more than 360 employees and offices in Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Brussels, Miami and Washington, D.C.

In the associative environment, she is also president of the Business Council Alliance for Ibero-America (CEAPI), an organization made up of more than 140 entrepreneurs, presidents and business owners, committed to the Ibero-American Business space, whose main objective is to promote economic and social development and shared knowledge for the growth and strengthening of the region. Moreover, she is also a member of the board of directors of Circulo de Empresarios and a member of the board of YPO Euro-Latin America

Among those awarded by ASICOM since the launch of this initiative are important personalities from countries such as Spain, Mexico, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Panama, Ecuador, Venezuela, Argentina, Peru and Brazil, all of them with the common imprint of their love for Latin America and with equally brilliant careers.

Estela Barnés de Carlotto, Alan Knight, Martín Berasategui, Fundación Casa de Alba, La ONCE, Víctor Manuel, Susanna Griso, Nora Volkow, Plácido Arango, Carlos Casanueva, Jeffrey Davidow, Daniel Brennan, Arturo Fernández or Angela Pumariega are just some of the names celebrated with this prestigious award.

The Mining Rescue Brigade of Asturias, whose involvement enabled the rescue of Julen last January in Totalán (Malaga, Spain), Enrique Cerezo, President of Atletico de Madrid for 16 years and film producer, Juan Pedro Domecq Morenés, prominent Spanish rancher and one of the most recognized producers of animal food, Christian Duverger, French anthropologist and historian specializing in Mesoamerican civilizations, as well as Director of Studies at the School of Higher Studies and Social Sciences in Paris, Cecilia Gómez, outstanding flamenco dancer recognized internationally and Vicente Vallés, journalist and leader of Spanish opinion, complete together with  Núria Vilanova  the list of winners of this tenth edition

Since 2009, the Ibero-American Communication Association (ASICOM), in collaboration with the University of Oviedo and with the support of the Mexican newspaper El Universal and Interprotection, organizes these awards with the aim of enhancing Ibero-American culture and recognize the work of professionals and academics who have been able to stand out in this line, helping with their work build and rebuild this historic region.

One more year, the Paraninfo of the Historical Building of the University of Oviedo has been the venue chosen for the award ceremony. It was attended by the rector of the University, the president of ASICOM, the president of El Universal and the president of Interproteccion.
