On January 28, ATREVIA’s president, Núria Vilanova, received the “Exceptional Women of Excellence” award at the Women Economic Forum for her extensive career, a source of inspiration for many people. With this distinction, the organization recognizes the achievements and leadership of the most prominent personalities in different areas of human endeavor, contributing to diversity and equity.
For the first time, the Women Economic Forum’s annual meeting was held in Spain this year, virtually, under the slogan “Balance in Action.” It is the most important summit organized worldwide to actively empower and make visible women’s talent in all sectors of the economy, inspiring, connecting, and transforming lives.
Núria Vilanova participated in this meeting by taking part in the online panel “Women in Capital Markets. Contributions and Trends”. She highlighted how the business landscape values are developing in a new direction in which female talent is very much in mind: “what we do not look at or measure takes longer to change. We see a phenomenon in the family business: finally, the women who inherit become part of the board of directors. Much remains to be done, but we are making progress.” In this talk, she participated with Gabriela Orille, Gema Sacristán, Mónica Flores, and Laura Sacristán as moderator.
This important world forum, in which 150 allied countries and a global chamber participate to pursue initiatives for the economic progress of men and mainly women, has managed to digitally convene more than 5,000 people from Spain and Latin America. They gathered to promote dialogue, connections, and collaboration between entrepreneurs and leaders who operate in all life spheres.
