Infographics as a strategic tool in Communication, a key resource to visualize information and convey complex ideas clearly, precisely and efficiently are the objectives of the first International Course on Schematics and Infographics, designed by the Joan Costa Institute Spain in collaboration with the Eulalio Ferrer Advanced Communication Center (CADEC) in Mexico.
The course that was created and managed by Joan Costa, the renowned designer, sociologist, communications expert and Visual Communications lecturer, began to teach online on the 7th of May, which comes certified by both entities. It is a pioneer course in its category, until the moment of this new range of Visual Communications science that lacks a specific training plan.
ATREVIA collaborates with the Joan Costa Institute in communication and training actions: as speakers in university masters that the Institute organizes in Peru, Ecuador and Mexico and in meetings and specific seminars in collaboration with universities.
The first International Course on Schematics and Infographics from the Joan Costa Institute arises from a growing demand in all types of companies, not only in the editorial environment. It is aimed at designers, visualisers and creativists, as well as also journalists, publicists, communication directors (DirCom), brand managers, specialized in Marketing and professionals dedicated to planning and business strategies. The course studies the strategic visualization of business processes –Design Thinking, Lean Startup o Business Model Canvas-, the creative process to design schemes and graphics.
Thanks to its online mode, the training program has an international faculty of renowned lecturers. In addition to Joan Costa, there are professional lecturers and expert researchers like Roberto González (Mexico-Spain), international lecturer in Visual Communication and Marketing and lecturer in the University of Cantabria (Santander, Spain); Emilio Deheza (Mexico), communications expert and media designer, currently director of Danilo Design Group in Mexico City; Daniel Raposo (Brazil), PhD in Visual Communication, lecturer and researcher in Identity Design and Corporate Image; Jorge Peñaloza (Mexico), designer, winner of 11 awards by the Society Newspaper Design, lecturer of Infographics and Illustration; Albert Culleré (Spain), Brand and Corporate Identity consultant, and Design lecturer in the European University of Madrid; and Jesús del Hoyo (Spain), dean of the Official College of Graphic Design in Cataluña and senior lecturer at the University of Barcelona.
