We present you with the last campaign we did with Twitter, #ProyectoKepler, a conversation to build up together and share all the details that resulted in an overwhelming success.
The best conversations arise from a good question. So, in line with Twitter´s mission to serve the public conversation and with the objective to show how Twitter is a valuable place for discussion, positivity, and the place to make a better world through conversation, we launched one simple question to the community: ‘If you had the opportunity to create a new planet -twin to the Earth and called Kepler-, how would you like it to be?’.
#ProyectoKepler was launched on October 25th with a kickoff tweet that shows the storytelling behind our planet Kepler. On October 26th, the video teaser was published, and we presented our main question to the community. Since then, the conversations around #ProyectoKepler have continued to grow.
To follow, we announced that TOP voices on Twitter Spain, all from different areas of expertise (music, literature, technology, etc.), to join the project on a set of inspiring conversations in order to contribute distinct viewpoints.
#ProyectoKepler became the framework in which key opinion leaders discussed topics that are part of our day-to-day:
- The value of diversity – We are social beings because we are diverse.
- Artificial or emotional intelligence? – Keys to building a new world.
- Empathy and creativity – The engine of social change?
- The power of words – in society, in culture, and in life.
And finally, #ProyectoKepler came to a wonderful conclusion:
The best way to share and have a positive impact is to do what we do best: CONVERSE
And what was the result? Despite being confident that our efforts would result in success, the impact that occurred exceeded our expectations:
Results:
- Over 7.3M total video views
- 2,9M broadcast views
- 103.9K engagements
- 83% positive and neutral sentiment
We managed to bring together some of the most relevant voices in Spain, including Luis García Montero or Rozalén, who wanted to join the conversation, convinced of the potential of our initiative (all the Key Opinion Leaders participated free of charge). These relevant voices were the first ones to endorse #ProyectoKepler:
- @RozalenMusic: “More spaces like this are needed because we need more dialogue in the world.”
- @elenapisonero: “It has been great to have the opportunity to connect with other voices such as Nerea’s.”
- @sailormerqury: “Thank you @TwitterEspaña for creating this beautiful project.”
And then, the endorsement of the community came into the platform with many different responses.
#ProyectoKepler managed to take the leap to mass media thanks to an incredible ambassador like Luis García Montero, poet and Director of @InstCervantes:
- By-line article based on our broadcast with singer @soyRayden – La ’empatría’ y lo que decimos
- Interview on TVE, one of the most prominent television channels in Spain
We highlighted the fact that Twitter is the place to have a conversation. We demonstrated that the best conversations start with a good question and that Twitter is where all the voices have a space for public conversation. In conclusion, we wanted to create a conversation to build up with the community, a conversation with all the voices that every day build up Twitter with us. And we did it!
