Society at the center of corporate and social transformation

3g Smart Group, in collaboration with ATREVIA, held the Workplace Design Conference in Barcelona, a meeting in which the digital transformation by and for people has been debated: welfare, happiness, sustainability, and the impact on society.

The conference was divided into two conversations, the first of them with the presence of Mónica Gálvez, team and talent director and moderator, Javier Creus, CEO Ideas of Change, Susana Marcos, founding partner People Matters, Laura Fernandez, CEO Future Founded and Alex Ollero designer 3G Smart Group.

Context and key ideas for a positive digital transformation

Francisco Vázquez, president of 3g Smart Group, inaugurated the day highlighting how “the immersion of technology in our life is a fact” and continued, “Let’s stop talking about the future to talk about the present, the ‘new normality’, which is nothing else than living with technology’. Philippe Jimenez, Spain director for Regus & Spaces and host of the event, wanted to point out that “millennials refuse to work between four walls, but it should not be so obvious when there are still companies that do not consider the space of work has to change to become environments that foster creativity and connectivity between people. ”

Javier Creus, CEO of Ideas “For Change” encouraged attendees to think about futures that are “cool.” Susana Marcos, founding partner of PeopleMatters, talked about the importance of people and the new leadership needed in the new paradigm that emerged from the digital transformation.

The vision of the leader in for a positive transformation

The second part was moderated by Carlos Aguirre, director 3G Smart Group, who try to search for the key ideas to ensure that transformation has a positive impact on people and serves as a lever to create a better world. Moreover, Javier Pijoan assured that currently, “the managing committee is at the service of the organization, as a catalyst for change.” Although to ensure the success of the strategy “it is necessary to train and encourage people to take risks and get involved in the transformation“, a point in which Philip Jimenez agreed: “Leadership is not to bark orders, it is to pave the way and empower. The role of the leader is to form a team so that they can implement change when making decision. ”

Finally, Marc Grau has indicated that “in an environment of disruptive change and innovation, transformation is imposed. Once everyone understands it, error is another step on the road to transformation. ” Isabel Grifoll, meanwhile highlighted the importance of communication as an ally to “involve our teams, our customers and our partners in a common Project”. Manuel Giménez concluded, “the challenge is to promote change among people by making them participants in it.”
