The ATREVIA People Forum which this time was named “Bridge Building. Connecting perspectives to connect teams”, was organized by ATREVIA, communications consultant. The advantages of improving trust and personal relations to stimulate the commitment of employees and as a consequence of this, the link with these and the corporate objectives was analyzed by ATREVIA together with Jordi Robert-Ribes. Therefore, Jordi Robert-Ribes, spokesperson in the session said that “a minute looking spent at a face is equivalent to sending ten thousand emails”.
These initiatives help to stimulate participation and collaboration between teams in a company. It also promotes the interchange of knowledge and professional development of employees, not only at an individual level but corporate. In this way, the lack of communication between departments of the same company directly impacts on the income statement: reduce profits and increase costs.
“One must continuously connect in the company, every day of the week”, noted Jordi Robert-Ribes during the ATREVIA People Forum and added that “the connection of perspectives have three stages: first, exploration by saying who do we connecting with; the second, the construction of trust; and the third, maintenance”.
This company is calling to adapt team building to the real context, from a perspective of inclusion by promoting engagement from all profiles that work in the company. The managers should learn to construct relations based on contact and “face to face”: direct engagement generates trust and allows employees to share those that are capable of contributing, creating networks of contacts across internal networks.
The different organizations have the responsibility to provoke and promote contact between employees in different areas, independent of their geographic location and their work dynamics to generate a collaborative environment of idea interchange and generating content.
Companies are called to lead the meeting, by knowing their employees and utilizing this knowledge together with large doses of creativity to help employees are “finding themselves” in a natural way.
